Porsche Boxter・Cayman Sound Up Program
This is a Sound Up Program specifically designed for Porsche Boxster and Cayman models.
It covers all generations, including the early 986, 987, both pre-facelift and facelift versions of the 981, and the 982 (718).
With enough budget and time, almost any kind of custom car audio installation is possible. However, we’ve carefully selected realistic upgrade options that account for model-specific factors such as factory head unit shapes and speaker layouts, making it easier for you to choose the right solution.

For Porsche models equipped with OEM head units compatible with the DIN standard, Porsche Centers now offer the PCCM and PCCM Plus upgrade services, which replace the original head unit with a genuine Porsche LCD-equipped head unit.
We also support upgrade paths where you update the head unit via PCCM and entrust us with a full speaker system refresh for a truly enhanced sound experience.

Single These standalone options can be selected individually. You can also add optional items to your order.
SET A bundled plan combining multiple single items. Optional add-ons can be included as well.
Add-on Additional items to be ordered together with a Single or SET plan.
When making an inquiry or placing an order, please specify the plan number (1), (2), (3), etc. All plans can be customized to suit your preferences. We also welcome requests for installing gadgets like dash cams, ETC units, or radar detectors at the same time.

【2DIN Navigation Unit Installation】Since the OEM unit is already 2DIN compliant, aftermarket 2DIN navigation units can be installed easily.
If you want to drive all the original speakers as before, you can retain the factory separate amplifier, but for better sound quality, bi-amping the front 2-way speakers using the built-in 4-channel amp is a more cost-effective and recommended approach. -
【Speaker Replacement & Sound Deadening】To ensure full-range frequency response, the speakers are securely installed using custom baffles, and the doors are acoustically treated to function as speaker enclosures through proper deadening.

If you’d like to keep the factory setup where all speakers are powered, it’s possible to retain the factory separate amplifier. However, if sound quality is your priority, bi-amping the front 2-way speakers using the built-in 4-channel amp is a highly recommended and cost-effective option.
